July 15, 2013 Raw Review

Raw would start off with Brad Maddox coming out and making a rematch between Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler. John Cena would come out. Brad Maddox would tell Cena that he could pick his opponent for SummerSlam. Randy Orton would come out and say that Cena might not even be champion at SummerSlam if he cashes in the briefcase. It really surprised me when Fandango came out. He would say that at SummerSlam Orton wouldn't be cashing in the briefcase on Cena, he would be cashing it in on Fandango. Randy Orton punched Fandango and a brawl ensued. Fandango would toss Orton out of the ring but Orton would come back in and toss Fandango out. Brad Maddox would then set up a match between Fandango and Randy Orton.
The first match wad Fandango vs Randy Orton. This match was pretty good and Fandango was able to get a lot of offense. At the end Orton would hit a RKO and get the win.
Mark Henry would then come out. He would say that he wanted Cena to choose him for the match at SummerSlam. Then the Shield would come out. The would surround the ring and attack Henry. Henry would try to fight them off and he did a good job. But Ambrose was able to lock in a sleeper hold and Roman Reigns hit Henry with a spear. They would then hit Henry with a triple powerbomb. I guess Henry will now be turning face which I don't like because I think he is better as a heel.
Up next would be Dolph Ziggler vs Alberto Del Rio. Earlier in the night Dolph Ziggler would break up with AJ so I knew she would get involved. The match was good. At the end Ziggler would be going for a pin and AJ rang the bell. As Dolph was distracted with AJ, Del Rio would hit Ziggler with the kick he does and got the pin. After the match AJ would attack Ziggler. Then Big E would come and clothesline Ziggler. He would then hit him with a big ending.

Up next R-Truth would come out, probably for a match. However the Wyatt family would come out and attack him. Brat Wyatt would then cut a promo but R-Truth would come back with a chair. Then they would all attack R-Truth and Brat Wyatt would hit his finisher on R-Truth. At the end Brat Wyatt would say "Kane, follow the buzzards".
Up next people were able to vote on the WWE app for who The Real Americans(Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro) would face. The choices were: The Usos, Tons Of Funk, or The Prime Time Players. The Usos would win with 55% of the votes. This was a short match and The Usos won with a roll up on Antonio Cesaro.
Then was Christian vs Damien Sandow. This was an ok match. Notheing like their one from Main Event. I was expecting Sandow to get the win but Christian was able to roll him up for the win. After the match Cody Rhodes came and attacked Sandow. The referees would pull them apart letting Sandow escape.
Next up would be Brie Bella vs Naomi. I thought this was good for a divas match. Naomi was able to win with a cross body off the top rope.
Up next CM Punk would come out and call out Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman would come out and say that the reason he betrayed Punk was because Punk can't beat Brock Lesnar. Punk would say that he will destroy anyone who gets in his way while he trys to get to Heyman. Brock Lesnar would come out and start heading to the ring. Punk had a microphone in his hand so Brock wouldn't get in the ring. Heyman would come from behind and hit CM Punk. Lesnar would drag him out of the ring and start attacking CM Punk. Punk would try to fight back but at the end Lesnar would hit Punk with an F5 onto the announce table. This was an awesome segment.
The main event of the night was Chris Jericho vs Rob Van Dam. This was an awesome 20 minute match. The two went back and forth and I didn't want it to end. RVD was able to pick up the win after hitting a five star frog Splash.
The last thing of the night was Cena coming out to pick his opponent for SummerSlam. He would say that he was going to let the audience decide. The crowd was chanting Yes but Cena still went ahead and named people on the stage. Cena never said Daniel Bryan but that was still who he choose. I think that wil be a good match and I can't wait to see it.
Overall this was a really good edition of Raw. The matches were good and so were the promos. It also did a good job of hyping up SummerSlam. I can't wait to see next week.
