July 8, 2013 Raw Review

Raw would start off with Vickie Guerrero. She would climb a ladder and say that her climbing the ladder represented her career. She would also announce three matches for later that night. Jerry Lawler would interrupt her and say that the audience would be able to vote on the WWE app if they thought Vickie had failed or passed.

The first match was Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus. This was a good match and lasted over ten minutes. Sheamus would go for the cloverleaf but Daniel Bryan was able to counter it into a roll up pin and get the win. I was glad Bryan got a clean victory over Sheamus.

Next up would be the tag team champions, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, vs Tons of Funk. This match went on for six minutes which is a lot longer than I thought it would. This match was actually pretty good and the Shield was able to pick up the victory after Roman Reigns hit Tensai with a spear.

Up next there would be a face off between WWE champion, John Cena, and Mark Henry. Mark Henry would talk about how the WWE championship is the only title he hasn't held and if he could win the title he'd definitely be inducted into the hall of fame. John Cena said that of Mark Henry lost at Money In The Bank everyone would lose respect for him. Mark Henry would attack Cena and hit him with a World Strongest Slam.

The next match of the night was Chris Jericho vs Intercontinental champion, Curtis Axel, and The Miz was on commentary.  This match lasted 12 minutes and was pretty good. Curtis would get knocked out of the ring and would get distracted by Miz. When he entered the ring he walked right into a Codebreaker and Jericho was able to get the win.

The next match was World Heavyweight champion, Alberto Del Rio vs Sin Cara. This match lasted for 5 minutes and was ok. Dolph Ziggler would come out and start trying to distract Del Rio by talking on the microphone. Del Rio would get angry and attack Ziggler. Sin Cara would jump off the turnbuckle and take out Del Rio. The bell never rang so I guess the match was a no contest.

Up next was Vickies job evaluation. Mr. McMahon would say that Vickie has been doing an excellent job while Triple H would say that she was doing a terrible job. They decided that Stephanie would be allowed to determine what would happen to Vickie. Stephanie decided that she would let the WWE universe decide what would happen. 75% of the of the people who voted decided she had failed. Vickie was fired and Mr. McMahon replaced her with Brad Maddox.

The next match was Kane vs Christian. This was a good match and lasted seven minutes. Kane was able to pick up the win after hitting a Chokeslam. The big news happended after the match. The Wyatt family made their debut. Brat Wyatt would appear on the titantron and say that they were there. They would then come out, with A really cool enterance, and attack Kane. I am looking forward to seeing more of the Wyatt Family.

The next match was divas champion, AJ, and Alicia Fox vs Kaitlyn and Layla. When AJ was tagged into the match Kaitlyn would attack her. AJ would try to escape but Kaitlyn would hit her with a spear. The bell never rang so this match also was a no contest.

The main event of the night was Randy Orton vs CM Punk. This was a good match and lasted about 15 minutes. CM Punk was able to win cleanly which surprised me. He hit a GTS and got the win. After the match Daniel Bryan came out and attacked CM Punk. He got a ladder and hit Orton with it. He would then climb the ladder and grab the Money In The Bank briefcase. I was surprised that the other participants didn't come out.

This was a good Raw and did a good job hyping the Pay Per View which I am very excited about. The matches were good and so was everything else.
